I have one word to describe my first day of taking shots.  CHAOTIC!!!

I was suppose to have an ultrasound/lab appointment yesterday, but no one was at the RMA office.  Apparently there was a mix up and the original ultrasound tech is on vacation for the week.  Then the Medco pharmacy did not let RMA know they did not carry the medicine called Lupron. I informed RMA yesterday and the prescription was faxed to Freedom pharmacy who carries the medicine.

I did my ultrasound and labs this morning. I was very glad to find out the nurse was on site today along with an ultrasound tech from San Antonio.  The nurse is so much better at drawing the labs.  When the nurse removed the needle from my arm the area would not stop bleeding.  I went through two gauze’s and two band aids.  Finally it stopped and I was able to make my way to work.  But go figure this time around I have the opposite problem.

Once I got to work I called Freedom pharmacy and they did not have record of the Lupron prescription from RMA.  The nurse Sharon then tried Peoples RX at Lakeline and they did not have it in stock.  The Peoples RX on N Lamar thought they had everything to fill the prescription.  An hour later it turns out they did not.

We was so relieved that RMA found another pharmacy called TAS pharmacy on Guadalupe St.  I went there on my lunch to pick it up.  Well, they did not have the salt water mixing agent that was needed.  So now I need to go back on lunch tomorrow and pick that up.

The nurse explained I would be fine starting the Lupron tomorrow. I went to my last vigorous workout at the gym since after tonight I cannot get my hear rate above 120.  I did the two shots myself this evening and actually it wasn’t too bad.  Once I start the three shots tomorrow I will need Pete’s help.

At this point I am trying to stay positive and not stress out.  Maybe another massage is in order.
