IVF Meds Mess With Your System

I have now come to the understanding that the IVF medicine’s can really mess with your system. While I was on the meds my menstrual cycle was a week early. This not the norm for me as my cycle is usually right on within a day or so.
Now that I am waiting to start the second IVF cycle of course I am not getting my period. I was suppose to start my period on or around April 8th. It is now April 15th and nothing. I did think for a brief moment, could I actually be pregnant? I say this because since we are on this break Pete and I have actually felt normal i.e like ourselves again. We have been intimate a couple of times around the days that I was suppose to be ovulating.
So today I took a pregnancy test and of course there was a small glimmer of hope but it turned out to be negative.
Now I am also unsure if I even ovulated last month. I usually have really bad ovulation cramps and I do not remember having any. So, I do think the IVF meds can mess with your system. I will be talking to the doctor tomorrow about both concerns.
