How Many Embryos Survived

I received a call today from Tony at RMA. Unfortunately only one embryo made it to day five. That embryo’s cells were sent off for genetic testing. It takes about two to three weeks to get the results back from the genetic testing.
All weekend I subconsciously had a fear that none of the eggs would make it to be embryo’s. I was at least expecting to have two embryos develop out of this process. I can say I was kind of bummed by the news. As Pete says one is better than zero.
We are taking everything out of this process one step at a time. So no decisions will be made to move forward with another IVF cycle until we know if we need to make that decision.
We will wait for the genetic testing results and move forward from there. We are both keeping our fingers crossed for good quality results.
